Kriechel

The wine estate has a history going back more than 60 years and it cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards, making it the biggest private winery in the Ahr Valley.

Its focus is cultivating the Pinot; these grapes are harvested from 85% of its vineyards (55% Pinot Noir/Spätburgunder, 20% Pinot Noir Precoce/Frühburgunder, 10% Pinot Blanc/Weissburgunder and Pinot Gris/Grauburgunder).

With 4 hectares of Pinot Noir Precoce, the Kriechel winery is the biggest private producer of this rare speciality.

Kriechel is committed to environmentally friendly cultivation, only using organic fertilisers and not using insecticides at all.
